National Hospital Week 2020 – PSN Toolkit

National Hospital Week

National Hospital Week is May 12 through 18 and provides an excellent opportunity to lift the stories of hospitals and how they make communities healthier and stronger. To help maximize your participation in the week, Premier Specialty Network (PSN) has created this digital toolkit, complete with social media graphics, content and tips.

Each year during National Hospital Week, the American Hospital Association (AHA) celebrates hospitals and health systems to raise awareness of their importance within their communities. This year, PSN is excited to take this celebration one step further with a social media campaign to celebrate our affiliate hospitals and their dedicated employees who make a difference in the lives of patients everyday through their relentless pursuit and commitment to patient safety.

Please join PSN and hospitals across our network in this week-long celebration through social media and share how your hospital is dedicated to quality care and patient safety.

There are a variety of ways hospitals can participate in the campaign, which are detailed below.

Do not forget to follow PSN on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube!

Upbeat Affirmations:

Double shifts, lack of sleep, not enough supplies…health care workers are facing unprecedented demands and need a little enthusiastic cheering on.

  • Your possibilities are endless.
  • Nothing is impossible.
  • You got this! - You are full of energy and life.

Thinking of You - Words of Encouragement:

There is nothing more uplifting then letting someone know he or she is in your thoughts.

  • Sending you good thoughts—and hoping you believe in yourself just as much as I believe in you.
  • You’re on my mind and in my heart.
  • I’m thinking of you. And I’m just a text or phone call away.

Physical and Mental Recovery:

Workplace stress can influence health care professionals' physical and emotional well-being. It’s okay to let them know they need to take care of themselves and not just their patients and families.

  • You’re doing exactly what you should be doing. Hang in there.
  • Be good to yourself. And let others be good to you, too.
  • You are amazing for facing this with so much courage and hope.

Day Brighteners:

Just because someone’s challenges are serious doesn’t mean your words always have to be. Sometimes sharing a laugh or smile is the best encouragement.

  • Just wanted you to know you’re on my mind and in my prayers.
  • Keeping you close in my thoughts.
  • Just wanted to send you a smile today.

Offering Help:

Across the country, neighbors, friends and families are lending health care workers a helping hand. They are stepping up to help out with home-cooked meals, dog walking, lawn work and more. If you are making a difference in your community, share it with others and encourage them to do the same.

  • I’m a proud supporter of Protect the Heroes and we need your help too. Make a donation to your local hospital here. Donations go directly to purchase personal protective equipment and other support to help local health care workers fight the novel coronavirus.
  • Everybody has the opportunity to do something great during this pandemic because everybody can pitch in. What are you doing today?
  • Everywhere you turn you can find someone who needs you. Contact your local hospital to ask how you can help today!
