Shayla Sanders is a healthcare professional and licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (A.R.N.P.) practicing in Missouri and Iowa.  She has over 10 years of experience in diverse settings in rural health care. Throughout her career, she has exhibited outstanding oral, written and hands on skills and has demonstrated strong problem solving abilities.

She is a team player who works effectively with professionals of diverse backgrounds to develop excellence in healthcare.  She has recently opened Rheumatology Clinics at Wayne County Hospital in Corydon, IA and Monroe County Hospital in Albia, IA.

She also has Rheumatology clinics in at Van Buren County Hospital, Keosauqua, IA and Davis County Hospital, Bloomfield IA.

Shayla Sanders began her career as a registered nurse working in acute and emergency care in a critical access hospital. She later expanded her career into administration while finishing her Masters of Science in Nursing at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She went on to become Board Certified as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner.

Once board certified she chose to specialize in Rheumatology and completed a year rotation with Dr. Robert Jackson as well as completing  her Advanced Rheumatology Course through the American College of Rheumatology. Since her initial experience in Rheumatology, Shayla has effectively initiated her own independent leading edge rheumatology clinics which have benefited the communities that she serves.

Shayla lives in Pollock, MO with her husband and children. She commutes to several additional locations in Iowa and Missouri to assist in providing access to Rheumatology services in under served areas.
