Dr. Jon Mattson wins Center of Distinction Award

Jon Mattson D.O. and the staff at Ozarks Medical Center Wound Care Center in West Plains, MO. recently received the Center of Distinction Award from Healogics, Inc., the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. They were awarded the Center of Distinction award which is the second national recognition in the 3 years they have been open.  The first year they were awarded the Presidential award for exceeding projected income.

The Center of Distinction award is based on the following criteria; the center must achieve outstanding patient outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including patient satisfaction rates over 92% and a healing rate of greater than or equal to 91%,  a median days to heal of 30 days or less and an outlier rate of 19% or less.

The OMC Wound Care services achieved outstanding patient outcomes for 12 consecutive months with the following results; patient satisfaction was over 94%, a 96% wound healing rate was obtained and median days to heal was 30 days with an outlier rate of 18.

Wound Care Services is a member of the Healogics Network of more than 635 centers, and provides access to benchmarking data and proven experience treating more than two million chronic wounds. Ozarks Medical Center Wound Care Services offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time.

Advanced treatments include hyperbaric oxygen therapy, negative pressure wound therapy, bio-engineered skin substitutes, biological and biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies.
